Free Entry to Chiefs Development Match This Saturday

Chiefs fans can get an early taste of rugby at home this Saturday when the Chiefs Development team takes on the Blues Development team at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.

Expect some class rugby with the Chiefs Development team set to include all the Chiefs Wider Training Group players, plus top players from provincial unions in the Chiefs franchise, as well as some New Zealand Under 20 representatives from the region.

The Chiefs and Blues Development teams will be named this Wednesday.

Kick off is 2.00pm on Saturday 20 February at Waikato Stadium. Entry is free, general admission applies and the public can enter through Gates 3 & 4.

The Chiefs Development team will be coached by Chiefs skills coach and Waikato NPC assistant coach Scott McLeod.

Another reason to go, apart from the rugby on show, is this fixture will be the first rugby match to be played on the newly laid grass surface at Waikato Stadium.
