People keen to purchase a 2010 Chiefs and Waikato Season Membership at Waikato Stadium have until next Thursday to secure these.

Latest figures show that 2680 Chiefs and Waikato year-long Season Memberships have been sold to date. A 25% increase on the 2009 total of 2132 Season Memberships.

Waikato Rugby Union Sales Manager John Mudford said: "We're extremely pleased with the increase in interest of Season Memberships in our region. The orders have been constant since we first launched our programme back in November. The early-bird pricing before Christmas certainly was a big incentive for many. However, post Christmas the interest has remained buoyant and people still have until next Thursday to get a year-long Season Membership."

"All members who joined before February 8 were added to the Rugby World Cup 2011 priority access database. This also helped boost interest."

"Retention of memberships from 2009 is very high with around 97% of these people renewing. These are all positives signs for rugby."

The 2010 Season Membership package guarantees rugby goers a seat at the All Blacks v Wales test match in Hamilton in June, plus six Chiefs games, and seven Waikato NPC matches at Waikato Stadium. A total of 14 games in the year.

2010 Season Memberships range from $240 for an uncovered seat in the WEL Networks Stand, through to $570 for premium covered seats in the Brian Perry Stand. People can make a one-off payment or take advantage of the affordable six-part payment options. (Note: Early Bird Pricing options have now expired).

Also available in 2010 is a Chiefs-only membership, which allows membership solely for the six Chiefs homes games at Waikato Stadium. Prices range from $120 to $245.

The Chiefs first home game kicks off at Waikato Stadium next Friday night when they take on the Reds. Kick off is 7.35pm.
