The Chiefs have announced their latest signing, twenty-two year old Counties Manukau talented back Bundee Aki.
The Chiefs have announced their latest signing, twenty-two year old Counties Manukau talented back Bundee Aki.
The 2012 Invest Super Rugby Champions have signed the versatile back for the 2013 season.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie said “He was one of the stand out players for our 2012 Chiefs Development team and was called into the Chiefs wider training squad on the back of that good form.”
“Bundee has been outstanding for Counties Manukau in the ITM Cup so were excited to have him in our mix.”
The former bank teller is ecstatic about getting his first crack at Super Rugby. “I got a taste of the Chiefs environment when I became involved in both of the Chiefs squads and really learned a lot.”
“The rugby knowledge of the management team is fantastic and I am eager to further myself in the game and feel the Chiefs is an ideal environment to do this in.”
The father of two has played for Counties Manukau U16, U18, U20 and is a former NZ U20s trialist.
