The 2012 Investec Championship winning Chiefs are delighted to announce the growth of their existing relationship with Gallagher, one of its key commercial and community partners.
The current Gallagher sponsorship which began at the start of 2011 saw the Chiefs wear the Gallagher brand on the Chiefs playing shorts. Under the new arrangement the Gallagher logo will be relocated to the back of the Chiefs playing jersey for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Investec Super Rugby seasons, and the two organisations will look to work together on a number of new community and commercial initiatives.
Chief’s CEO Gary Dawson commented “The Chiefs and Gallagher Group are both iconic Waikato based organisations who are constantly seeking excellence and to be world class in our respective fields. Gallagher’s success is built on hard work, innovation, persistence, loyalty, connection to community and a great team culture, and these are values we look to emulate in the Chiefs organisation.”
Margaret Comer, Gallagher Corporate Services Executive said “As a company we have always been passionate supporters of rugby. We were thrilled to support the Chiefs in winning their first title right here at Waikato Stadium and we saw how much it meant to the people of the Waikato and wider Chiefs region. Our decision to grow our partnership and investment was to help ensure that the Chiefs have the best chance possible to deliver more of that success, excitement and pride for this community in the future.”
The Gallagher Group are also involved with Operation Snap, Habitat for Humanity, Gallagher Family Hospice, Westpac Waikato Rescue Helicopter, Gallagher Great Race, Waikato Stadium, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic Netball Team, Rowing High Performance Centre, Gallagher Aquatic Centre, and the Waikato University Performing Arts.
2013 sees the Chiefs taking to the field in a newly designed playing jersey. The first chance to see the new jersey bearing the Gallagher brand will be for a pre-season game against the Highlanders in Taupo on February the 2nd 2013 with kick off time to be confirmed.
