The Chiefs and their sponsors took part in an entertaining team building event dubbed “The Amazing Race” yesterday in Hamilton.
Players and sponsors were split into 17 teams with each team given a set of 11 tasks to complete at sponsors premises. Teams were required to complete an activity relating to the sponsors line of business. Points were awarded to teams upon finishing the task by the judges.
The wide range of activities included; recording a breaking news story at TVNZ, building a planter at Placemakers, counting money at BNZ, recording jingle at Mediaworks and
changing a tyre at Ebbett Holden.
The event was won by Richard Kahui’s team made up of Mike Fitzgerald, Kurt from BNZ and Kerry from Hallensteins. This is the second year in a row that Kahui has been involved in the winning team which has caused other players to question his ability to cheat. Kahui categorically denies any cheating took place!
