Mahonri Schwalger was one of the stand-out hookers of last year’s
Investec Super Rugby competition. The former captain of Samoa and
three time RWC veteran joined forces with Tana Umaga at Counties
Manukau and helped the side to their ITM Cup Championship title
win. A player who possesses outstanding leadership skills, Schwalger
captained Samoa to their historic win over Australia in 2011. He has
played for the Sale Sharks, Llanelli Scarlets, Highlanders, Hurricanes
and Taranaki ITM Cup side.
