Sam Cane made his first All Blacks start on his Chiefs homeground
in 2012, scoring two tries in the 60-0 win over Ireland. On the
back of a solid season with the Chiefs he won the Bay of Plenty
Junior Sportsman of the Year in 2012. Cane was an IRB finalist
for Under 20 player of the year in 2011 and won the New Zealand
Rugby Award Age Group Player of the Year having been part of
the New Zealand Under 20 gold medal winning team in Italy.
Cane debuted for the Chiefs in 2010 and plays his ITM Cup rugby
at Bay of Plenty.
