Wills trained like a fulltime athlete as firstly an indoor volleyballer and then a beach volleyballer. She was good enough to reach the quarter-finals of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the latter.

After just three seasons in rugby as a fast-learning athletic lock, she has risen rapidly into Black Ferns’ calculations. In 2019, she played six games for the Bay of Plenty Volcanix in the Farah Palmer Cup and impressed the right people to then play two games for the New Zealand Development XV in Fiji.

The Mount Maunganui Sports player has continued to progress for the Volcanix increasing points on the board and adding to her caps.
In 2021 Wills debuted for the Black Ferns during their Northern tour and continues to impress as she pushes for a spot in the Black Ferns Rugby World Cup Squad.

Wills was a part of the inaugural Chiefs Women’s team who played the one off historic match.
