Inform halfback Cortez Ratima was influential in Waikato’s 2021 National Provincial campaign leading to his debut for the Gallagher Chiefs the following season against the Crusaders.
Ratima has excellent ball-in-hand skills and speed around the ruck making him a dynamic halfback. In his debut Super Rugby season, his skill was recognised with his selection for the All Blacks XV squad for their Northern Tour.
He has proven instrumental for the Gallagher Chiefs with a high level of passing accuracy and secured his place in the squad during the 2023 season, playing every game.
