Former New Zealand schools representative Samisoni Taukei’aho made his provincial debut for Waikato in 2017 and earned an Investec Super Rugby contract with the Gallagher Chiefs for 2018.
Taukei'aho was called into the All Blacks squad in 2021 for the Steinlager Series against Fiji, and after Dane Coles pulled out with a tight calf during the week of the second Test in Hamilton, he made his Test debut off the bench, scoring two tries. He was also part of the All Blacks 23 for Bledisloe Cup test 2 at Eden Park which secured the Bledisloe Cup for another year.
Taukei’aho was named in the 2023 All Blacks Rugby World Cup squad after an outstanding season with the Gallagher Chiefs to start in the Super Rugby Pacific final against the Crusaders.
Taukei'aho is studying a Bachelor of Law part-time at the University of Waikato.
