The Gallagher Chiefs are going back to the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens next week - lugging along with them the title trophy they won last year - with a title defence on the line. A squad of 24 players has been announced, which will be led by experienced All Blacks Liam Messam and Tim Nanai-Williams as co-captains, for two full and exciting days of rugby tens action.

The players have all been working really hard throughout the preseason, and are no doubt excited to get some expansive rugby on the legs when the tournament kicks off at Suncorp Stadium on 9 and 10 February.

Head Coach Colin Cooper said, "We really look forward to arriving in Brisbane, and letting our players loose, with an opportunity to show the coaches what they can do leading into the Investec Super Rugby competition. The tens format exposes the work rate, athleticism, and defensive skill of the players.”

After the Gallagher Chiefs defend their title at the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens, some more players will arrive to prepare for another preseason fixture against the Brumbies on 14 February at the Sunshine Coast Stadium, kickoff at 7pm.
