Marino-Tauhinu was a key part of the Counties Manukau Heat side which rejoined the Farah Palmer Cup competition in 2013 and was also part of the Counties side that contested the National Sevens in 2015.
She now holds the record for most appearances for the Heat (57) and has scored 230 points, second only to Hazel Tubic.
After leading the Heat to their first Farah Palmer Cup crown in 2016, Marino-Tauhinu also led the side to the 2018 Premiership final against Canterbury on her home ground in Pukekohe.
In 2019, she was one of four new players to be offered a Black Ferns contract and duly made her Black Ferns debut, appearing in all six tests.
Marino-Tauhinu is a gifted sportswoman and has previously worn a black jersey when she turned out for the Kiwi Ferns in league, the Aotearoa Maori sevens side and age grade and Maori touch sides.
Marino-Tauhinu was part of the inaugural Chiefs Women’s team who played the one off historic match at Eden Park in 2021.
