Chiefs name strong team to play in development clash

The Gallagher Chiefs and Blues clash on Saturday will also include a curtain-raiser between their respective development sides on Saturday.

The Chiefs Development XV includes several players in the Gallagher Chiefs who will benefit from the playing time.

There is a welcome return for 2.02m All Black lock, Josh Lord, back after a nine-month layoff from an ACL injury, and is joined at lock by Māori All Black Manaaki Selby-Rickit.

Other Gallagher Chiefs players include prop Jarred Profit, hooker Bradley Slater, loose forwards Kaylum Boshier and Simon Parker, halfback Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi, midfielder Gideon Wrampling and winger Peniasi Malimali.

Also in the line-up is fullback Solomon Alaimalo, who has returned to the Gallagher Chiefs as a replacement player.
The match kicks off at 4.30pm at FMG Stadium Waikato on Saturday.
