Chiefs Rugby Club acknowledges Lynne Sanson

It is with great sadness that the Chiefs Rugby Club recognise the passing of former employee, Lynne Sanson.

Lynne was a valued member of the Chiefs whānau for many years. She worked as our High Performance Executive from June 2014 to April 2020. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Accountant starting her tenure with the club in 2008. In addition to her daytime jobs with the Chiefs, she was so much more to our whānau outside of our workplace. This included being a defacto mother to a number of our players over the last decade - teaching a few of our lads some important life skills!

“The club will miss Lynne. Her involvement was always much more than an employee and she had a significant number of players that she took under her care. We send our thoughts to Lynne’s family at this sad time,” said Chiefs Rugby Club CEO Simon Graafhuis.

Our deepest condolences to Lynne's family, friends and all those she helped and nurtured during her time with the Chiefs.

Lynne’s funeral will be held next Monday 16 October 2pm at St Mary's Church, Hamilton.
