Chiefs Rugby Club appoint Joeli Scott Ratuki as Independent Director
The Chiefs Rugby Club today announced the appointment of commercial lawyer Joeli (Scott) Ratuki to the Board of Directors.
Partner for over 13 years, and now Board Chair for Tompkins Wake, Joeli is a highly experienced lawyer that specialises in commercial property, construction and development, and events and venue related law.
“The Chiefs Rugby Club has always held a special place in my heart, and I hold deep admiration and respect for its enduring legacy and the intrinsic Chiefs Mana. I look forward to working with my fellow board members, and the exceptional staff and players, as we collectively guide the club through its next phase of growth and development,” said Joeli.
Joeli also holds a position on the board of the Waikato Pacific Business Network and K’aute Pasifika Trust, with a strong focus on improving opportunities for Pacific people. He will provide a key perspective for supporting the clubs’ Pacific descent players, stakeholders, and fans.
Chiefs Rugby Club Chairman Bill Osborne was delighted that Joeli accepted the position as an Independent Director.

Joeli will begin his role as an Independent Director effective immediately.
