Chiefs Rugby Club COVID-19 Level 3 Update
The New Zealand Government’s recent response to move into alert level three on Tuesday 28 April is a step closer towards returning to rugby, however there will be no change in the Chiefs Rugby Club’s current position.
Chiefs Rugby Club CEO Michael Collins says our priority is the health and welfare of our players, staff and stakeholders at this challenging time.
“Shifting into alert level three allows us to be that one step closer to resuming training and returning to the field. However, for now we want to stress being vigilant in following the Government guidelines. Our Gallagher Chiefs squad continue to train within their respective bubbles, and our staff will remain working from home.”
“We are continuing to work closely with New Zealand Rugby and the other four Investec Super Rugby clubs to provide meaningful rugby for players, fans, members, sponsors, investors, commercial partners and other stakeholders. However, the safety of our people is at the centre of our planning,” said Collins.
Collins finished commending those that have supported the Club during this time.
“We are grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from our fans, members, sponsors, investors, and stakeholders and thank them for their loyalty in this challenging landscape.”
