Chiefs Rugby Club widely represented on world stage
This year’s 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan will not only see seven Gallagher Chiefs represented in the All Blacks but a selection of current and former Gallagher Chiefs players representing Canada, Ireland, Japan, Samoa and Tonga. It brings the total number of players who are or have been affiliated with the Club to fifteen. Gallagher Chiefs versatile forward Tyler Ardron will captain Canada and will be joined in the captains’ circle with former Gallagher Chiefs co-captain Michael Leitch captaining Japan.
The Chiefs Rugby Club representation is not only limited to players, but also team management. 2020 Gallagher Chiefs head coach Warren Gatland will be at the helm of Welsh rugby team. Tabai Matson and Neil Barnes are Assistant Coaches for Fiji and Mark Roberts is Canada’s video analyst.
