Chiefs U20 squad to play Development XV

The Chiefs U20 squad will face the Chiefs Development XV today at Memorial Park, Cambridge. This match features some of the best young talents from Chiefs Country, many having come through the Chiefs Rugby Club pathways and U18’s camps.

The U20 side is currently preparing for the Bunnings Super Rugby U20 tournament that will feature teams from each of the New Zealand Super Rugby clubs.

This game against the Development XV side will provide a training opportunity for the U20 squad, as well as give selectors another chance to see these players in a game scenario.

Taranaki’s Fiti Sa who has trained with the Gallagher Chiefs squad throughout pre-season as an NDC player will captain the U20’s side. Taine Kolosi and Josh Penney have been named as vice-captains.

The Development XV side features a wealth of young talent from the Gallagher Chiefs squad alongside other promising players from the region. Another Taranaki local, Kaylum Boshier will captain the Development XV side for this match.
