Gallagher Chiefs re-sign Nanai-Seturo

The Chiefs Rugby Club today announced that electric winger Etene Nanai-Seturo has extended his contract with the Gallagher Chiefs.

A former All Black Sevens star, Nanai-Seturo earned a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. He was also a New Zealand Under 20s representative and most recently part of the All Blacks XV squad for their tour to Japan.

Gallagher Chiefs head coach Clayton McMillan is pleased to have Nanai-Seturo re-sign.

“Etene is developing nicely. He has flown under the radar somewhat in comparison to some of the other outside backs in our environment but is a player with huge potential. His explosiveness, footwork and booming left boot are just some of the qualities that we will benefit from in the years ahead.”

In good company, Nanai-Seturo will assemble in the new year alongside fellow winger Emoni Narawa who has had an exceptional rookie All Blacks season that was unfortunately cut short due to injury.

“Our backline produced some memorable moments last year and it's exciting that we are having players commit to the Gallagher Chiefs so we can continue to grow into the team we aspire to be,” said McMillan.

The 2024 Gallagher Chiefs squad will be announced later this year.
