Gallagher Chiefs to host Poker Night to raise money for Rhonda Hall
Last Sunday afternoon the Gallagher Chiefs team wore pink arm bands to acknowledge their support for Gallagher Chiefs Performance Analyst Regan Hall’s wife Rhonda Hall.
Rhonda was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer two years ago in 2018 and while things were progressing positively, unfortunately after recent tests it has come back and spread.
Rhonda and Regan have been part of the Chiefs whānau since Regan began with the Gallagher Chiefs in 2012. Regan is well-known for his efforts behind the camera, coding and supplying data and statistics for analysis and is a key part of the Gallagher Chiefs team.
The Hall’s have two lovely children, Chloe (two) and Lola (ten). Rhonda is exceptionally dedicated, and her current goal is to see Chloe start school. She wants to keep fighting with the hope of seeing as many milestones a parent would want to see in their children’s life, however it comes at a cost.
The Chiefs Rugby Club have rallied together and will be hosting a Fundraiser Poker Night on Tuesday 4 August at Sky City Hamilton to raise funds for the family this year instead of their traditional Club Awards Dinner.
Chiefs Rugby Club General Manager of Rugby Stu Williams said: “We know Rhonda is a real fighter and this is only but a small contribution we can make to assist her and Reg. They are part of our Chiefs whānau and we want to gather all the support we can for them. It would be great to see a fantastic turnout for the Poker Night at Sky City and for people to give generously to help this young family to stay in the fight.”
