Liam Messam recommits to Waikato for the 2021 NPC Season

Waikato is pleased to announce fan favourite, Liam Messam, has recommitted to the province for the upcoming 2021 Bunnings Warehouse National Provincial Championship.

Messam, 37, currently has amassed 93 caps for Waikato and now only seven games away from becoming Waikato’s newest centurion in the Unions centenary year, joining an exclusive list of 22 Waikato centurions.

Waikato Head Coach, Ross Filipo said “We here at Waikato Rugby are pleased to announce that Liam Messam has recommitted to the province for another season.

Liam is one of these talented and experienced players that you are privileged to have in your ranks. His mana and presence alone, can help lift the squad to another level if he is playing or not.

It is extra special that he has a chance this season to reach a tremendous milestone of 100 games for the province joining a very special list of 22 other Waikato legends that have achieved this feat.”
