Ross' Baa-Baa Lamb Shanks
The experienced Gallagher Chiefs prop Ross Geldenhuys shares with Gallagher Chiefs fans his tasty Ba-Baa Shanks, perfect for a winters evening.
Ingredients:
Lamb shanks
500ml red wine
500-600ml coke
1 diced red onion
1tbs Garlic
30ml Balsamic vinegar
1tsp oil
Flour
“Maggi” Lamb shanks packet mix
Method:
Fry diced onion with the garlic/balsamic vinegar and oil in a pan till brown. Place in a bowl.
Coat the lamb shanks with the flour and fry till brown.
Add the wine, coke and cook for 8 minutes on high heat.
Add all into casserole dish with foil and place in the oven at 160 degrees on fan bake for 2-3 hours.
Remove from the oven one hour before ready and add Maggi Lamb Shank packet mix.
It is ready to eat, goes well with some potato or kumara mash and beans.
